About us

We are an independent bathroom and kitchen design studio located in the centre of Twyford.

Owned and managed by Lisa since the showroom opened in 2004, the company originally traded as Tile & Bathroom Place.

In 2018 we changed our name to Kitchen & Bathroom Place, to reflect the growing importance of Kitchens to our project portfolio.

Lisa’s original ethos still underpins what we do:

Sustainability

At Kitchen & Bathroom Place we are committed to being friendly to our planet and are working hard to reduce our impact on the environment.

We choose to work with manufacturers and distributors who share our values and are committed to improving their working methods to be kinder to the environment.

Our preferred suppliers are UK based.  They have responsible sourcing standards for materials and ethical working practices.  They invest in the latest technology for precision manufacturing with lower energy consumption, using less materials, and producing less waste.  They innovate and develop products with water or energy saving features.

The products we sell and install are durable and high quality.  They have a long lifespan and remain highly efficient for many years.  No need to buy again = less waste to landfill.

We only supply low energy LED lighting.  All WCs are dual flush and use lower water volumes. Many products come with protective coatings and require minimal cleaning and maintenance.  This saves water and reduces the need for chemical cleaning products (and makes life a lot easier too!)

Our skip suppliers recycle at least 90% of the waste from our installation projects, and are working towards zero waste to landfill targets.

We  are adapting our working practises in our office and showroom.  We have reduced printing and recycle as much waste as possible.  Customers are encouraged to view online brochures, or return printed brochures to us.

Becoming more sustainable does not happen overnight.  We still have work to do and will continue to make improvements.

Community

Lisa has been involved with Twyford Together for many years. From sponsoring the fun run to manning the bar at Twyfest, we have enjoyed supporting many projects and events which contribute to the well being of our local community.

We are the main event sponsor for the Gordon Storey memorial 5-A-Side Football Tournament, which takes place on Saturday 29th June 2024.
